We stopped at a Texas Information Center about 20 miles north of Laredo and were amazed to see a couple hundred motorcycles there along with multi police cars acting as escort. It was part of a menudo festival that included a bike race from Laredo to the Information Center. It was going to include music, dancing and food for the rest of the day and into the evening back at the fairgrounds in Laredo. It was quite a sight to see.
The Information Center was a beautiful spot and I can see why people would spend hours there having a picnic.
Made it so that Norm could walk around and sing The Streets of Laredo! We spent about an hour walking around the downtown and then started heading north.
The roads are just terrific here and of course, the speed limit is 75 mph.
