Austin TX

Yes!  Set the alarm and got to the hotel breakfast which was pretty good so we'll have to do that again tomorrow before we leave Austin.

Then we were off to the LBJ Presidential Library which is actually situated in the University of Texas campus.  All presidential libraries are interesting but this particularly so because we were young adults while Johnson was in the White House so we experienced and remember everything that happened then.   A bit of nostalgia!

We did the drive and hike to Mount Bonnell which is a prominent point alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River and has been a popular tourist destination since the 1850's.  It was cloudy this morning but the temperature was perfect.

Spent some time exploring the State Capitol Complex.   Fun tour in the State Capitol Building with very knowledgeable docent.

Ain't it the truth?
